One promise I made to myself is that I’m going to protect every abused child against Rape and any other form of abuse. Be it physical or mental abuse.

In our society, a lot of innocent defenseless children are victims of sexual and physical abuse by their relations and their trustees. Most of these defenseless children don’t have parents and are kept in the care of loved ones that end up turning them into maids with no education.

I don’t care if I don’t get support. I will use the little I have to make sure that every abused child I come across will get justice.

This is the case Of Ugochi, the 13-year-old girl that I rescued from the hands of her abusers. Her uncle, Mr. Benjamin Opara, and his wife, badly brutalized this little girl.

They brought her to live with them from the village when she was 9.

For 4 years she has been living in hell.

Everyone in her area in Ajah Lagos, Nigeria, were scared to speak out.
They allowed this little girl to go through hell while they all kept silent.

Her abusers are her guidance with 3 kids of their own.

These people that were supposed to protect her hurt this little girl so badly that I had to intervene.
Little Ugochi lost her dad at a very tender age, so her mum handed her over to his uncle, Mr. Benjamin Opara, to make sure she gets an education.

But Mr. Opara and his wife ended up turning her into a maid they abused at will and enrolled her in a public school. Her teacher saw how badly she had been beaten, but didn’t report to the relevant authority.
As God will have it on this FAITHFUL day on the 23rd of August, I saw her with so many injuries on her body. But didn’t say a word because I was sick and under medication.

On the 24th of August 2021. I had to make enquiries from people in that area to know about the little girl before I take action and I was shocked what I heard from people.

They told me how they were scared to speak out that I should please help the little girl if I can.
Then I went to the little girl’s house and told her uncle’s wife to bring the girl out. I asked her to explain to me what happened to the little girl, but she refused and was rude.

In an earnest surprise, I told her she will pay for her crime she thought I was joking. Then I called one Mrs. Ogunleye that works with Lagos state Child Protection Agency under the Etiosa local government.
She met with me and we went to Lamgbasa police station, the Human Rights office and we made our complaint. The station assigned 2 police officers to follow us to rescue her Mr. Benjamin Opara was arrested.

The girl is now safe in a very secure, beautiful shelter.

Mr. Benjamin Opara and his wife will be charged to court for child abused and molestation.

I want to say a big thank you to the ESP in Lamgbasa police station she is indeed a definition of humanity. I pray May GOD will bless her and everyone that helped to rescue little Ugochi.

The little girl explained how her uncle and his wife beat her all the time and put marks all over her body. Her explanation made the listeners emotional that almost everyone who heard her started crying.

Please, as humans, you can also do a humanitarian job by reporting to the nearest authority whenever you see a child is being abused.

Or you can send us an email via our website houseoffatima.org and we will go to the rescue. . Anyone that is caught abusing children will face the law.
